Dear Fellow Traveler, Come join Minneapolis’ well-known culinary expert and cookbook author, Paulette Mitchell, and French antiques expert, Tami Roth. Cruise aboard Radisson Seven Seas Cruises’ intimate 350-guest five-star Radisson Diamond from Rome (Civitavecchia) to Monte Carlo with stops in the majestic ports of Portofino, Livorno (for Florence), Cannes, Marseilles, Barcelona, and St. Tropez. The SSC Radisson Diamond is the only twin-hull luxury cruise vessel in the world, providing the most stable ride afloat. All of the 177 staterooms provide an ocean-view, with either private balconies or beautifully appointed sitting areas with large bay windows. Initial bar set-up in stateroom, wine with dinner, and pre-paid gratuities are all included in your cruise fare. Enjoy a welcome cocktail with our hosts, as we set sail from Civitavecchia to enjoy our first night at sea. Our first stop is the picture-perfect postcard town of Portofino where one can enjoy a leisurely lunch in a charming trattoria before taking a stroll around this memorable port. The next day we will depart the ship early for a full-day customized tour of Florence! Florence is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe- home of Michelangelo, flourishing with Renaissance Art. With a Florentine culinary expert as our guide, we will visit a local produce market where we will sample the finest of olive oils and cheeses. Following a light lunch, we will have the early afternoon free to walk the old city before returning back to the ship for an evening at sea. En route to the ship, we will make a short stop in Pisa to view the famous Leaning Tower. The next day we arrive in Cannes, playground of the rich & famous, and have the day free to shop in some of the lovely boutiques lining the Boulevard les Croisettes, go for a swim in the Mediterranean, or perhaps take an optional excursion to the charming medieval village of St. Paul de Vence. While in port in Marseilles, we will enjoy a complimentary shore excursion with gourmet lunch in beautiful Les Baux de Provence. On Saturday, we arrive in the magnificent city of Barcelona, Spain. Truly one of Europe’s most dynamic cities with impressive boulevards & colorful Gaudi architecture, Barcelona is a wonderful city to explore! Finally we spend our last afternoon in the romantic French port of St. Tropez. Explore the delightful old town, or spend the day at the beach working on your St. Tropez tan. All too soon our cruise ends in the grand port of Monte Carlo, Monaco. We look forward to welcoming you aboard!
