Everyday Gourmet Traveler is a cooking school travel program
offering small group culinary tours to Italy, France and regional
United States.
Beverly Gruber,
Director, is a French-trained chef and certified instructor with
over fourteen years experience leading culinary tours.
Join Beverly, as
she shares her love and knowledge of Italy & France with her small
groups (4-12). Bev has assembled an amazing assortment of friends &
colleagues to introduce you to: the baker, the butcher, winemaker,
balsamic master, olive oil producer, cheese maker, grappa producer
and local cooking instructors. Plus Theresa the waitress, and chefs
too numerous to mention. All are national treasures.
Because Italy & France are about much more than food, we strive to
offer you a complete experience through our network of "locals", all
of whom are eager to share their love of country and its rich
traditions. To maximize the experiences, museum visits have
professional art guides; city tours are led by knowledgeable guides
and all cooking classes are taught by local experts. You experience
the REAL THING.
We stay in lodgings typical of the area but with modern
accommodations. In
Tuscany
we stay in an immaculately restored Villa, surrounded by rolling
hills, vineyards and olive groves in the middle of Chianti. For the
CinqueTerre/Riviera we’re in a beautiful hotel
overlooking the water- the perfect setting. In
Venice
we’re in an
elegant restored Palazzo; in
Rome,
a beautiful Villa/Hotel in the heart of city (yet quiet residential
neighborhood), for the
Amalfi
Coast,
we are in a magnificent villa/hotel with panoramic views of the sea;
in
Sicily
a small boutique hotel, and in
France
a charming chateau. All facilities with private baths.
Our tours are a combination of food, wine, laughter, excursions,
shopping; the best of all worlds. Sharing with friends makes good
times even better. Tours are scheduled for spring and fall to avoid
crowds and maximize product availability. Suitable for cooks and
non-cooks who like to eat.
